Old Man Throckmorton has been the groundskeeper and maintenance man since before the previous school (of which no one speaks) burned to the ground in 1972. This includes the 9 year gap between the destruction of the Unspoken School and the foundation of BCHS in 1981. Little is known about what he did in those years, but local legend suggests he just raked the same spot over and over again, saying things like “Got to prepare the way” and “We’ll have our chance again” in the creepiest whisper-voice you’ve ever heard. Now he happily bides his time and plunges toilets for all the thankless students and faculty at BCHS.
